2007 Tempest, Estate


Tempest is our homage to the wines of Côte-Rôtie, the northern-most appellation of the Rhône Valley in France. We use the traditional and time honored practice of co-fermenting the Syrah with 5% Viognier because, in our opinion, this produces a more balanced style than any other expression of Syrah. The perfumed aromatics and glycerol texture of the Viognier help tame and refine the earth, spice and wild game characteristics native to Syrah. The result? A blockbuster wine of depth and power cloaked with remarkable grace and finesse. The signature of Audelssa wines.
